News regarding the season resumption in Orlando including the LA Clippers travel date has been released.

It’s almost here! The NBA has finalized a comprehensive plan to restart the season on July 30 in Orlando at Disney World. Part of the information released in this plan is the scheduled departure date for the LA Clippers and the rest of the league.

Teams will depart on three days, July 7-9. According to Shams Charania, the LA Clippers will head out on July 8. This is one day before the Lakers make their journey, likely to keep the two LA teams socially distant.

Once in Orlando, teams will begin to isolate in Disney as training camp begins. As of now, no member of the LA Clippers had opted to not participate in play, although the league made June 24 more of a soft decision date and now have allowed players until July 1 to make their final decision.

The league also released news that 302 players have been tested. Out of those 302 players, only 16 came back positive for having COVID-19. While 16 players being positive isn’t great, given the small percentage, it’s not necessarily awful either. The players will adhere to quarantine protocol until they are COVID free and then can rejoin their teams in Orlando.

Everything seems to be slowly falling into place and the resumption of the season is finally happening, despite some hiccups along the way. The NBA will also release schedules for the eight regular-season games today, June 26. These eight games have huge implications for several teams as they fight to earn a spot in the postseason and jockey for seeding.

The season is just a little over a month away from returning. As we ramp up to the restart, make sure to check back here often and follow us on Twitter for all of your LA Clippers news, rumors, and more!
