Comparing Steve Kerr and Lou Williams

  • 1997-98 Bulls: Steve Kerr
  • 2019-20 Clippers: Lou Williams

Every team needs a Sixth Man right? When it matters most and you need someone to count on in the clutch, Michael Jordan trusted Steve Kerr.

For the Clippers this season, we have seen numerous times where Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have given up good looks and instead hit Lou Williams for a great look.

Though their play-styles are vastly different from each other, each team needed this player in crunch-time.

As we saw during the last episode of the, “Last Dance”, Michael Jordan knew he could count on Steve Kerr to hit the series-clinching shot against the Utah Jazz in the 1997 NBA Finals.

Last year, Lou Williams bailed the Clippers out of so many tough situations and led numerous comebacks behind his sweet shooting.

Lou is asked to do more in today’s game than Kerr had to but both player’s work ethics and being a team player led them to have long careers and coming up big in key moments.
