LA Clippers and Mister Cartoon release limited edition merchandise for charity
The LA Clippers have teamed up with the famed artist to release a line of limited edition merchandise to benefit the Mayor’s Fund for Covid-19 relief.
Fans of the LA Clippers can support their favorite team, help provide relief to members of their community in need, and look good while doing it.
The team has launched a line of limited edition merchandise designed in partnership with famed Los Angeles artist Mister Cartoon. The line features the artist’s signature Old English style font on hoodies and t-shirts emblazoned with the city and team name as well as their “We Over Me” slogan in crisp black and white.
100 percent of the proceeds from the line with go to the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles to support in their efforts to provide emergency relief during the Covid-19 crisis. According to their website, the Mayor’s Fund is currently working on providing home-delivered meals for seniors, childcare support, and other community resources for families, workers, and small businesses. They are also providing critical healthcare equipment to Angelenos in need, and services for unhoused members of the community.
The Clippers also recently launched Teams for LA along with other professional franchises in the city to benefit the Mayor’s Fund. The NBA store is also selling team-branded protective masks to support Feeding America and Second Harvest Canada.
Mister Cartoon is a Los Angeles based tattoo and graffiti artist known for designing the logo for both the rap group Cypress Hill and Eminem’s Shady Records. He has tattooed various celebrities including Kobe Bryant, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Beyonce Knowles, Snoop Dogg, Justin Timberlake, and many others. He has previously worked with the Clippers in the design of their City Edition jerseys for the 2019-20 season.
