The LA Clippers recently shared a teaser for ‘Monsta Trezz’, a feature on powerhouse forward Montrezl Harrell, set to premiere April 8 on YouTube.
The LA Clippers want you to know that there’s a monster waiting at the end of their bench, and his name is Trezz.
Montrezl Harrell has certainly earned his nickname ‘Monsta Trezz‘ with high-energy play and high-impact results. A feature on the fan-favorite forward set to sing the praises of Harrell will premiere on YouTube this Wednesday, April 8.
The Clippers shared a preview for the feature on their official Twitter account today.
The 26-year-old Harrell was drafted 32nd overall by the Houston Rockets in the 2015 NBA Draft. He was acquired by the Clippers on June 28, 2017 in the trade that sent Chris Paul to Houston. In his three seasons with Los Angeles, Harrell has blossomed into one of the best role players in the league and a perennial candidate (along with teammate Lou Williams) for the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award.
His 2019-20 campaign is on pace to set career-highs in minutes-per-game (27.8), points-per-game (18.6), and rebounds-per-game (7.1).
But statistics aren’t the main reason Harrell has become a fan-favorite in Los Angeles. His ferocious style of play brings non-stop energy and tenacity off the Clippers’ bench. He is the heart and soul of one of the best second-units in the NBA featuring himself, Williams, Landry Shamet, Reggie Jackson, and JaMychal Green. Not many NBA players known for their hustle and grit also put up the types of numbers Harrell is capable of, making him a special player and important piece in the Clippers very deep roster.
Harrell is set to become a free agent after the 2019-20 season and already has fans begging the Clippers to make sure he returns.
The new feature on Harrell looks like it will celebrate that tenacious spirit and fiery play and focus on his transformation from Montrezl into ‘Monsta Trezz.’ Look for it on YouTube this Wednesday, April 8.
