The LA Clippers will meet the Los Angeles Lakers for the second time this season on Christmas Day. Here are three reasons why they’ll win.

Merry Christmas, LA Clippers fans! We here at Clipperholics hope that those of you who celebrate the holiday had a wonderful one, and if it’s off to a rocky start, have no fear — your favorite team could deliver a fantastic gift tonight.

The Clippers will meet the Los Angeles Lakers tonight for the second time this year, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most anticipated games of the regular season. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George against LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

The first LA showdown took place on opening night, which the Clippers won 112-102. The Clippers didn’t have George for that one, and Lakers sharpshooter Danny Green went off for 28 points.

Since then, both teams have been as successful as fans could have hoped for entering the year, as these are currently the two winningest teams in the Western Conference. The Lakers have racked up 24 wins, while the Clippers are right behind them with 22. Both teams are ranked among the top-10 in both offensive rating and defensive rating as well, so this should be a slugfest for the ages.

It’s difficult to say how this meeting will compare to the last. Not only have both teams gotten better since the beginning of the season, but they’ve both gotten key pieces back as well.

For the Clippers, it’s George. He missed the first 11 games of the season and has been on a tear ever since, pouring in 24.2 points per game on 40.1 percent shooting from three-point range.

For the Lakers, Kyle Kuzma is finally back in action, though he hasn’t completely returned to form. The third-year forward is averaging just 11.3 points per game this season on 35.5 percent shooting from deep.

Both teams have also struggled as of late — the Lakers have lost three in a row, and the Clippers have split their last six. They’re going to come out motivated and with something to prove.

We believe the Clippers will come out on top. Here are a few reasons why:
