Prior to his return to The 6ix, we take a look back at Kawhi Leonard‘s top five plays as a Toronto Raptor. As Clippers fans are certainly aware by now, there were plenty to choose from.

Kawhi Leonard may have only spent one season in Toronto, but he was as successful as they could have hoped. Leonard led the Raptors to their first-ever championship and had a ton of highlights along the way. As he returns tonight as a member of the LA Clippers, we look back at his top plays on the Raptors.

Number Five

To start things off, we’ll set aside the nasty posterizing dunks and take a look back at one of Kawhi’s signature defensive plays. One so amazing that it was making highlight reels over any crossover or dunk that day.

There are probably only a few players in the NBA that would even attempt or have the instinct to make this play, let alone pull it off. Kawhi makes it look positively routine. Defensive plays like this are how Kawhi Leonard made his name in the NBA and show exactly why he’s the NBA’s best when it comes to wing defenders (and then some).

Number Four

When I said we’d be putting nasty posterizing dunks aside, I meant very briefly, because this downright disrespectful dunk in the face of Joel Embiid could not be ignored.

Having split the first four games of the Eastern Conference Semifinals series with Philly, Kawhi and the Raptors would not be denied at home. The utterly flippant nature of this dunk was representative of the final scoreline as the Kawhi and the Raps crushed Philly, 125 – 89.
