1. Blake Griffin

Was there any doubt about who was going to sit atop this list? Blake Griffin is the reason the Clippers are where they are now.

His first official season in the NBA started off this decade with a bang. As I mentioned in the opening section, he’s what got me to be a Clipper fan. I’m sure that’s the case for many of you out there as well.

Let’s list out his accolades:

  • Rookie of the Year
  • First team All-Rookie
  • Five-time All-Star
  • 3rd in MVP voting for 2013-14
  • Four-time All-NBA

For someone who came into the league as “only a dunker”, Blake has made quite a name for himself. During his time in LA, he put up 21.6 points per game on 50.1% shooting, grabbed 8.9 points, dished out 4.4 assists and had nearly a steal per game.

The on the court product was awe-inspiring. Blake’s thunderous dunks made the top ten seemingly every night and his talent is what helped bring in other players. Even when he was traded, Blake gave the Clippers gain a ton of assets that were eventually turned into Kawhi and Paul George.

At the time of the trade though, fans were hurt. Blake Griffin was too. When his career is all said and done, let’s hope he is able to retire as a Clipper. If the team is going to retire any jerseys from the Lob City group when they open their new arena, Blake’s better be first.

Until that day, enjoy his highlights and remember everything he brought to the team. Blake Griffin is the best Clipper of the decade and for now, all time.
