After losing to the New Orleans Pelicans on the road earlier this month, the LA Clippers came out in full force in a dominant 134-109 home victory.

The LA Clippers are on a roll, and for now, it doesn’t look like there’s any stopping them.

LA was host to the New Orleans Pelicans Sunday night, and save for an attempted comeback in the third quarter, the game was never close. The Clippers won decidedly by a final of 134-109, extending their season-best win streak to five games.

The Clippers led by as many as 27 Sunday night, which came within the final minutes of the fourth quarter. LA eclipsed a 20-point lead on several occasions, including as early as the second quarter, when they went up 55-35 roughly 16 minutes into the game.

Offensively, the Clippers looked as in-tune as we’ve seen them so far this season. That was to be expected considering New Orleans has one of the most porous defenses in the league, but it’s a positive sign nonetheless. After all, this team is still getting familiar with each other, so chemistry building is key right now.

That said, it’s evident that these players are getting more comfortable with one another. The passes were more on point against the Pelicans, and there was a lot less iso-ball.

It was the second time during this five-game home stand that the Clippers have scored an absurd amount of points. It opened with a 150-point showing against the Atlanta Hawks, was followed by three tightly-contested games, and closed with another excellent offensive performance.

Since Kawhi Leonard and Paul George played their first game together Wednesday, the Clippers have gone 3-0 with wins over the Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets and now the Pelicans, bringing them to 12-5 overall and 11-1 at home — the best home record to start the season in franchise history.
