In their 15th contest of the season, the LA Clippers will meet the Boston Celtics in Staples Center.

LA Clippers fans across the world all have the same thing on mind: will tonight be the time Kawhi Leonard and Paul George finally suit up together in the red, white, and blue?

Tonight, the team faces the Boston Celtics who own the best record in the East. This is the perfect time for them to return, no?

Clippers beat reporter, Jovan Buha of The Athletic, Tweeted the following:

The rumor was later confirmed by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski

Going into the season, everyone and their mother knew a George-Leonard wing tandem would be the best in the league. Now, we get to finally watch it come to fruition.

The Clippers have started out with a slightly disappointing 9-5 record, but much of that can be attributed to injuries.

Paul George missed the first 11 games of the season as he recovered from a offseason surgery on his shoulders. Kawhi Leonard has missed a number of games as he rests and tries not to over use his knees. Landry Shamet suffered an ankle injury against the Toronto Raptors and has been sidelined since. While Landry will miss tonight’s game against the Celtics, the Clippers will be as close to full strength as ever this season.

The Celtics are not a foe to simply look past, no matter how strong the Clippers’ starting lineup is. They own the East’s best record and have wins against the Toronto Raptors, Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, and San Antonio Spurs. They’ll be looking to improve to 12-2 tonight.

The Clippers have had a bumpy start to the season. Kawhi Leonard led the team to a 2-0 record, taking down the other LA team, as well as the Golden State Warriors. Since then, the Clippers have had faced some tough games, including losses to the Utah Jazz, Phoenix Suns, New Orleans Pelicans, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Houston Rockets. The Clippers are set on starting off the Kawhi Leonard-Paul George era off with a bang, and taking down the East’s best team is one way to do that. success

Aside from the Celtics maintaining their solid play and the Clippers bouncing back, here are three things to watch for in tonight’s game.
