3. Young guys showed out
Two of the Clippers’ young players had themselves a career-night.
Both Jerome Robinson and Terance Mann scored new career-highs, with 21 and 13 points respectively.
For Mann, it’s not so much the number, but the fact that he looked so confident. Due to Beverley’s absence, Mann earned the start. He looked good, especially when he drove to the rim. Several times he hit acrobatic layups. Mann also had great vision, to the tune of eight assists.
For a second-round rookie, Mann looks like an absolute steal. He still is a little hesitant to shoot the deep ball, but if that is the worst thing about his game, for now, he’s at a great place. The team also acknowledged his success, giving him the game ball.

Jerome Robinson scored his 21 points on 8 of 13 shooting. He connected on five of seven from deep and finally looked confident.
After trading Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, a lot of us wanted to see something out of Jerome Robinson. Picking him at number 13 last season was seen as a bit of a reach, but obviously the front office saw something in him.
If he continues to play like this, the pick may very well be justified.
Speaking of Shai, he and the Oklahoma City Thunder come to Los Angeles on Monday. Be sure to check here for all your information regarding that game.
