Number 1: 2019-2020 Los Angeles Clippers

Best Supporting Player: Paul George

Record: 7-3 currently

Playoffs: TBD

If this article ends up being a jinx, I apologize to every LA Clippers’ fan out there, but this is the best team that Kawhi Leonard has ever had around him.

To point out some notable names, Paul George, who has yet to play but is set to very soon, was in the MVP conversation last season and averages 19.8 points per game over the course of his career. George is also a six-time All-Star and four-time All-Defensive team player and a five-time All-NBA player.

Lou Williams averages 14 points per game across his career and has won three Sixth Man of the Year awards for his efforts coming off of the bench. Patrick Beverley is a two-time All-Defensive team player and many young players such as Landry Shamet, Ivica Zubac, and Montrezl Harrell are still developing but are already efficient role players for Leonard and the Clippers.

This team, of course, has only been seen for 10 games and not at full strength yet, but it is already clear that once this team is at 100 percent, it will be a force to be reckoned with in the Western Conference. Currently, the team ranks top-15 in both points per game and points allowed and top-15 in both offensive and defensive efficiency.

This is a premature ranking because we obviously haven’t seen how well this supporting cast will do around Leonard at full strength, but on paper, this team would contend with the Spurs teams of old.

Next. Paul George's return couldn't be at a better time. dark
