The Philadelphia 76ers’ Tobias Harris is auctioning off a game-worn LA Clippers jersey to help fund safe water systems in Kenya.

Tobias Harris and the Philadelphia 76ers are off to a great start this season, with only one loss on their record. What’s more impressive though is what he is doing off the court. Harris is joining Underdogs United in their support for safe drinking water in Kenya by auctioning off a game-worn LA Clippers jersey.

Bids can be placed on the jersey online and can be done so anonymously if you choose to do so. As of the time of writing, the auction has a little over six days and eleven hours remaining. The current highest bid is $60.00.

Other athletes with jerseys currently available for auction include JuJu Smith-Schuster of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jordan Mickey of the Miami Heat, and Ryan Anderson of the Washington Redskins. More are sure to be added later.

The proceeds go to Underdogs United. From their site:

"Underdogs United is a mission-driven company that helps athletes exchange their jerseys for impact and designs sportswear with clean water solutions stitched in. Through our partnership with Impact Water, we fund clean water initiatives for schools in rural Kenya, in the same communities where all of our design and stitching is done too. We employ Kenyan artisans at fair wages and make long-term commitments to the communities where we work."

Athletes who donate their signed jerseys receive a custom stitched jersey from Kenyan artisans. You can view the jerseys of other participating athletes such as Kyrie Irving, Stephen Curry, and Fred VanVleet on Underdogs United’s site.

This program isn’t the only thing Tobias has been up to. A couple of weeks ago it was announced that he would donate $1 million to assist communities in the city of Philadelphia.

There’s a reason Tobias was such a fan favorite for Clipper Nation, despite only being with the team for 82 games over two seasons. It’s great to see players like Tobias getting involved in both their local communities and abroad in order to help future generations.

Next. Three things worth noting through seven games. dark

If you win that auction, make sure to tweet out a photo and tag us on Twitter! I’ll be placing a bid, so let’s all get out there and help get water to those who need it!
