Clippers close October with a win

With their win over the San Antonio Spurs, the LA Clippers moved to 4-2 on the season and managed to end the month of October with an impressive victory.

LA had a tough schedule here in the early goings, facing off with some of the best teams in the league in the Los Angeles Lakers and Utah Jazz and dropping a game to the surprising Phoenix Suns. It’ll only get harder in November, but with Paul George returning sooner than later, some of those games later in the month will become much more winnable.

All things considered, a 4-2 record at this point in the season is good. The Clippers are still getting the hang of things with Kawhi Leonard at the helm, and most of the new additions are in the process of getting used to their new surroundings.

The chemistry will improve before long, and the turnovers will start to work themselves out as they become more familiar with each other. Some duos, like that of Leonard and Ivica Zubac, already seem to have mastered that — but there’s still a long way to go in the regular season, and things will only get better from here.

Save for their loss in Phoenix, the Clippers have performed as we have expected them to. They looked impressive in their opening night win over the Los Angeles Lakers, dominant against the Golden State Warriors and Charlotte Hornets and lost a tough battle against the Utah Jazz.

The LA Clippers don’t play again until Sunday when they’ll take on the Jazz in Los Angeles. Hopefully, some of their momentum from the end of October can carry over into next month.
