LA Clippers veteran Patrick Beverley has a problem with the number of highlights displayed when the Lakers lose. He challenges media to share the truth.

LA Clippers veteran Patrick Beverley was not shy when speaking about his problem with sports media outlets, particularly the amount of Lakers highlights shown when they lose. Tuesday night was no different, but he made sure he spoke his mind.

Everyone knows how chippy Patrick Beverley is night in and night out, so on game one of this LA rivalry, he made a statement. After celebrating on the floor with his teammates (for which he was fined $25,000), that winning momentum carried over to the locker room. Directing his comments to reporters at first, he had this to say to First Take’s Max Kellerman after the game.

However, after addressing the media at his locker stall, Pat was not done there. Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reported earlier that the defensive-minded guard was still vocally upset with sports media programs.

"The defensive specialist sat by himself and spoke out loud about how TV programs routinely show highlights of James in defeats, without discussing in-depth the opponent that beat him. He challenged the media to report the facts instead of showing crossover highlights of one of the game’s best."

It is no secret that historically Los Angeles has been a Lakers’ town, but the Clippers do not mind that whatsoever. If anything, it further embraces their grinds and efforts down the line. Yet, that does not mean Beverley cannot share his opinion after an impressive win. He did just that, pretty much calling out certain media outlets to start sharing the truth.

After the entire NBA fan base had a night to digest the excitement of what felt like a playoff matchup, everyone was sharing their opinion. It is fair to say that Patrick Beverley’s rant did not go unnoticed, as ESPN bashed on the Lakers a bit while also reporting how deep the Clippers depth rotation is, which showed in game one. Others were pointing out how defensively superior this lineup will be when Paul George makes his much-anticipated debut.

Some even used Beverley’s sentiments last night to call out the media when Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in overtime, but still dominated the highlights. Irving’s fifty point debut was given attention instead of the victorious Wolves.

Next. Paul George expected to return in three weeks. dark

Another fact is for certain, Beverley will not change his approach or attitude to the game. He even says so himself, while getting fined for giving a fan the game ball. Pat is always ready, whether it’s next time these two LA teams meet or any other game night. LA can look forward to what he has to say next time around when they meet on Christmas day.
