Squaring Up the West: KD Chooses Clippers Amidst LA Preseason Comparisons

After plenty of debates on which LA team is better, several entities have weighed in to say the LA Clippers are. Here are just a few reasons why.

The LA Clippers now sit at 1-1 in the preseason, and they’ll look to take on the Denver Nuggets this Thursday. Although the Clips and Lakers have played a combined three games so far, the talks of which LA organization has the better team have been going on since the Clips got Kawhi Leonard with Paul George and the Lakers got Anthony Davis.

In a recent interview on Hot 97 radio, Kevin Durant spoke about which teams in the Western Conference he believes are the best, and surprisingly enough, the super-star went with the Clippers over the Lakers. Knowing KD, the smack-downs he’s laid on the Clippers are heartbreaking but impressive, and it’s amazing to see someone of his caliber show that much respect for the Clips. But then, the major question is why would KD of all people talk so highly of the LA Clippers compared to the Los Angeles Lakers?

Experts have been going back and forth on the question, but the man himself in Kevin Durant has officially chosen the Clippers as the better team for a few reasons. There are plenty of factors to look at in comparing these two teams, but even without the rose-colored fan goggles we have on, the Clippers have areas of their team that far outmatch their LA rivals’. Let’s take a look at why such an elite player and a great mind made that choice, as well as which LA team is the best.
