The Honorable Mentions

Before we look at the last significant players, there are a few recent signings that haven’t been able to do much in the NBA yet due to either just joining or being on clubs with star players in their spots, but they’ll make for some great depth pieces. Amir Coffey, Donte Grantham, James Palmer, and Derrick Walton were the smallest additions to the team, but perhaps they won’t look nearly as small in the future.

If that pesky injury bug hits the LA Clippers, they’ll have signed four guys that could offer some great depth. They’ll have to prove themselves further in the G League first, but the ones that come out on top might eventually get to see some decent playing time with the Clips.

McGruder and Patterson Finish Off the Player Additions

The last of the biggest additions come in the forms of Rodney McGruder and Patrick Patterson. Patterson is a well-traveled vet going into his twelfth season in the NBA while McGruder is only in his fourth season, but both look to make good impressions in their different career stages.

McGruder spent his career before LA with Miami, and his numbers are all decent despite having such a young career. He has 1,091 points in 162 career games, 526 total rebounds, and 253 assists. He’s very open to taking shots, and if he can find some accuracy on his three-point throws, he’d make for one heck of an offensive weapon. As he stands now, he’ll still give plenty of points from driving through to the rim or making a great pass here and there.

Patterson spent a lot of his career in Toronto, and although he’s aging, he can still put on a real show. He’s played a whopping 13,565 minutes throughout his career, accumulating 4,293 points. He’s had 2,573 total rebounds and 1,181 two-pointers as well, so he can generate some great offense if he’s given the chance. With this stacked LA Clippers team, he might just get his best chance ever to go off and drop some crazy points each night. He and McGruder both will get some of the best chances in their whole careers.
