Some Stunning Draft Picks

Around the same time as those gigantic signings, the LA Clippers also signed both of their 2019 draft picks that could really wow the NBA. Terance Mann and Mfiondu Kabengele picked twenty-seventh and forty-eighth overall respectively, but they’re getting a unique chance to play like they got picked a lot higher.

Mfiondu really sparked interest from the upper brass early on, and they traded a first-rounder and Jaylen Hands to get him. He played seventy-one games through two seasons with Florida State, and he came out of those seasons with 734 points, 85 blocks, and 378 total rebounds. He’s capable of just releasing the souls out of players with his monster dunks, and he can make a smart pass here and there with the ability to create turnovers.

Terance also caught the eye of the LA Clippers considering that he played so well with Mfiondu during his last two years at Florida State. His numbers are 1,322 points in 140 games played, 710 total rebounds, and 269 assists. Throughout his college career, he was capable of receiving and finishing smart passes well, but he also had a knack for handling rebounds like a champ defensively and offensively. During the NBA Summer League, however, he was just on a roll with some gorgeous passes. Mann to Kabengele for the three is a play that Clippers fans will want to see for a long time.

Both of these picks were absolute steals together, and the LA Clippers really lucked out coming out of this draft with two incredible young talents for years to come. Both have the opportunity to stick around for four years and assuming that the Clips’ great training staff really help to up their games, expect to see their names on the back of at least a few fans’ jerseys.
