March 8 – 14

March 8 – vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Continuing their tough stretch to start the month, the Clips return home to face the Los Angeles Lakers. We all know these battles of LA games will be extremely intense. The Clips are coming off a tough game against the Rockets, but luckily for them, the Lakers are coming off against one versus the Milwaukee Bucks.

This game is honestly a coin flip. No, really. I flipped a coin when predicting this one. Luckily, the coin was on our side and the Clippers win.

March 10 – @ Golden State Warriors

The good teams just don’t stop coming, do they? For the second time this season, the Clippers play the Lakers followed by a game at Golden State. Thanks a lot, schedule makers.

I’m doubtful Klay Thompson will be available by the time of this game, but it wouldn’t be too surprising if he’s able to play. The idea of him, Stephen Curry and D’Angelo Russell all sharing the court together is almost as scary as the Warriors of the past few seasons. After so many hard games in a row, I think the Clips drop this one before a much needed three days of rest.

March 13 – vs. Brooklyn Nets

I’m not saying this game is going to be easy. Brooklyn, like the Clippers, were a playoff team last season that consisted of almost all role players. Both landed two superstars this summer during free agency, but Brooklyn will likely be without Kevin Durant for this one.

Yep, I said likely. There are rumors that Durant will attempt to play again this season after tearing his Achilles. The rumored return date? March 12 versus the Golden State Warriors. Luckily for the Clips, even if he returns, it’s nearly impossible to see him playing in a back-to-back. The Clips star power outweighs that of the Nets. Because of that, they pick up the win.

March 14 – vs. New Orleans Pelicans

Oh, another possible playoff team? Why not! Zion Williamson and the Pelicans come to Staples Center. The Pelicans are a young but very talented team. They have veteran leadership in Jrue Holiday and J.J. Redick.

Their youth in Williamson, Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Jaxson Hayes will be extremely tough to stop. Even so, the Clippers having already dropped one to this group won’t do so again. They squeak by the Pels with the victory.

March Record: 4-3
