Despite just signing a deal with them back in June, it appears that LA Clippers’ center Montrezl Harrell is no longer with shoe company AND1.

One of the quieter shoe deals of the summer, Montrezl Harrell of the LA Clippers reportedly signed with AND1 back in June. However, he revealed on Twitter yesterday that he is no longer with the company.

The revelation came in a conversation with former Clipper Sam Dekker after Harrell responded to Dekker regarding wearing multiple pairs of shoes being “unsafe”, which he compared to the NFL not allowing teams to use multiple helmets during the year. (On a personal note, I wasn’t even saying that I agreed with the NFL, Sam! The no multiple helmet thing is just what their rule says!)

You can view the conversation here:

While this is a little surprising given how quickly the deal started and ended, it does make some sense. Harrell is a rising star in the league and is regarded as one of, if not THE, the top shoe collectors in the NBA.

Harrell recently re-signed with Rich Paul and Klutch Sports and will be a free agent in the summer of 2020. With all eyes on the LA Clippers’ this season, he’s sure to have an incredible season which will net him quite a payday this summer. It’s speculation, but maybe Trezz and his agent realized he may be able to work out a bigger shoe deal after he goes through free agency.

We reached out to Trezz for a comment regarding no longer being with AND1. While we couldn’t get any details there, we were able to confirm one thing that all of Clipper Nation should be excited for.

Trezz will again be rocking a different pair of kicks for each half of each game this season. We cannot wait to see what he comes out with this season. Make sure to check back here for any and all updates regarding Montrezl and your LA Clippers!
