With the All-Star break right in the middle of the month, the LA Clippers face a mixed bag of opponents in February as the season starts to wind down.

By our predictions, the LA Clippers enter the shortest month of the year sitting at 36-12. With the All-Star Break right smack dab in the middle of the month, the team cannot get complacent, especially considering their tougher games of the month come right before the recess.

The LA Clippers will get some nice rest during the break, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see them possibly rest some of their players, especially Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, for a couple of games right after the break.

Keep in mind that the trade deadline falls on this month on the 7th and that the Clippers figure to be very active on the buyout market right after the deadline. Since there is no predictability regarding trades or buyouts, we’ll just have to assume the team stays as is for the purposes of this piece.

February 1 – 5

February 1 – vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

The Clippers start the month of February with their second game of a four game home stand. This one comes against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Wolves can give the Clippers some issues, especially at the center position.

Karl-Anthony Towns is a great young center and can score from anywhere on the court. He’s a little too big for Montrezl Harrell to handle the whole time and a little too quick for Zubac. Despite Towns’ abilities, the Clippers should be able to pull this one off.

February 3 – vs. San Antonio Spurs

The Spurs are always a tough game, but the Clips should be able to take this as the home team with a day off in between their last game and this one.

February 5 – vs. Miami Heat

In their last game before heading out on the road, the Clips host Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat. This will be the only time the Heat face the Clips in Miami. The result? A third straight win for the Clips.

Now, the team gets on the road.

February Record: 3-0
