LA Clippers: NBA 2K20 agrees that Clips are best in the league
With all ratings now revealed, LA Clippers fans and NBA 2K20 are in agreement. The Clippers have the best overall team in the NBA.
The LA Clippers are the best overall team in the NBA heading into the 2019-20 season. This rings true for two groups of people: Clippers fans and the creators of NBA 2K20.
While ClipperNation might be seen a tiny bit bias, the ladies and gentlemen over at 2K are, in fact, not. With all player ratings being released, the LA Clippers have the highest overall rated roster in the game (among current NBA teams).
The players ratings are as follows (per HoopsHype):
- Kawhi Leonard – 97 Overall
- Paul George – 93 Overall
- Lou Williams – 84 Overall
- Montrezl Harrell – 83 Overall
- Patrick Beverley – 79 Overall
- JaMychal Green – 78 Overall
- Ivica Zubac – 77 Overall
- Landry Shamet – 76 Overall
- Maurice Harkless – 74 Overall
- Rodney McGruder – 72 Overall
- Jerome Robinson – 71 Overall
- Johnathan Motley – 70 Overall
- Terance Mann – 69 Overall
If you are too lazy to do the math, the combination of these thirteen give them an overall average of 78.69. Second place, the Los Angeles Lakers, has an average of 78.27. They are followed by the Utah Jazz at 78.17 and the Denver Nuggets at 78.08.
It’s weird seeing the Clippers as such a top-level team. Even though the additions of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are heavily boosting their overall, the depth on the team is really outstanding.
Two players, Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell, are arguably underrated as is. If they receive an early season boost, the Clippers will be even more deadly online. Speaking of online, it’ll be no surprise that they are rated as one of the top tier teams, assuming 2K20 keeps the same gameplay format.
We already got our first look at the team in 2K20 via Josh Hart and guess what? They’re real and they’re spectacular. In only a couple of weeks, fans will have the ability to experience them for themselves.
The Clippers will be a threat this year in both the digital world and the real world. Hopefully a championship isn’t something we all only achieve online.
