Friday, November 29th – @ San Antonio
The Clippers’ last game in November is in San Antonio against the Spurs. Though they gained DeMar Derozan in the process, the Spurs have been out of the spotlight since losing Kawhi Leonard. While they haven’t been a big conversational topic, they did manage to finish the last two seasons with 47 and 48 wins, a respectable amount.
The Spurs have always had plenty of role players on their squad, and that isn’t any different now. Much like last season, the Spurs will rely on scoring from DeRozan, Aldridge, Mills, and Gay. Unfortunately, Dejounte Murray isn’t expected to play this season after tearing his ACL in March. Many NBA fans have been wanting to see the young guard play more, and that isn’t going to happen.
The Clippers will have their hands full against the Spurs in this game. I think that they will lose this one, as it is one of the harder matches on their schedule and frankly, the Spurs are slept on.
So there you have it, this breakdown essentially has the Clippers losing 4 games of the 14 that they will play. Having three back-to-backs in a month is a challenge, but the team will have even more chemistry heading into December and their exciting Christmas day game against the Lakers.
They head into December at 15-5.
