Thanks to a stream from New Orleans Pelican Josh Hart and streamer RossiHD, LA Clippers fans got their first look at the team in NBA 2K20 at Gamescom.

The NBA 2K20 demo releases today, giving fans their first hands on experience with this year’s game. Still, it’s obviously not the full experience. Thanks to Gamescom, RossiHD and Josh Hart, LA Clippers’ fans actually got a look at this year’s team.

The two played each other in an exhibition game between the Los Angeles Lakers and LA Clippers. Josh Hart, who was traded away from the Lakers in the Anthony Davis trade, obviously picked the Clippers. You can check out the full stream below.

There are a few things worth noting. First off, Josh Hart is pretty solid at 2K and really understood how to use the Clippers. Sure, he started off playing a lot of iso-ball with Paul George, but then he began moving the ball around. Hart is also a HUGE fan of running the pick-and-roll.

Most notably, he hit Montrezl Harrell for a corner three (around the 13:30 mark) and then remarked he knew Trezz had been putting in work this summer from deep.

Another interesting thing I noticed is that 2K currently has the Clippers’ starting lineup as:

It stands to reason that this is just based on each player’s overall. The more likely starting lineup will either feature Landry Shamet or George at the two, depending on how big Doc wants to go. This starting lineup that 2K has set up though could be the team’s finishing lineup as it offers a ton of offense while still bringing a tough, stout defense.

Hart ended up winning the game 61-56. Hopefully this result (ignoring the low point total) is what happens on opening night when the Clippers and Lakers face off.
