Offense

While his defense is his calling guard, George is absolutely no slouch on the offensive end.

Averaging 28.0 points per game last season, he finished second in the league in scoring behind only James Harden. A big part of this was his three point shooting. George is a high-volume shooter from deep, putting up 9.8 attempts from deep last season.

The high volume doesn’t mean a poor percentage, either. From deep, George is a career 37.8% shooter from three. His numbers were slightly up last season though, scoring on 38.6% of his attempts.

He still is able to attack the basket efficiently as well, even after recovering from his tragic leg injury back in 2014 while playing for Team USA. He may not have quite the same athleticism as he did then, but he still can score at the rim and occasionally will throw down a posterizing dunk.

George is able to isolate and take defenders one-on-one, something the Clippers lacked last season outside of Lou Williams. He should have a large role in the offense and it’s reasonable to expect him to be the team’s leading scorer while Kawhi picks his spots.
