The 2019-20 LA Clippers’ schedule has been released and we here at Clipperholics are breaking it down month by month. First up is October.

The 2019-20 NBA season is right around the corner. With the release of the schedule on Monday, it’s time to start combing through the schedule game by game and see what we think this year’s iteration of the LA Clippers is really capable of.

The big news of the summer for both the Clippers (and the NBA as a whole) was the acquisition of both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. By signing Leonard and trading for George, the franchise was immediately put into championship contention. They aren’t the guaranteed favorites, however.

Leonard did lead the Toronto Raptors to their first every championship last season with no co-star on the level of George, but nothing is guaranteed. There are already rumors that George will miss the first six weeks of the season as he recovers from surgery on both shoulders this summer.

There’s also an abundance of talent in the Western Conference, so making it through both the regular season and playoffs will be an absolute grind.

The start of the season shows just that, with marquee matchups in the team’s first two games. Luckily for the short period of regular season play in October, the team will have no back-to-backs and will only travel out of California two times.

With all that in mind, let’s take a look at the first game of the year, which happens to fall on opening night.
