Bonding before the start of your first training camp with a new team is always important. To LA Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard, it rings especially true.

According to The Athletic’s Shams CharaniaKawhi Leonard and the Clippers are working towards a mini-camp, potentially in Miami, I’m being told.”

If the team does in fact hold a team only mini-camp in Miami, it would be the second consecutive season that the team has met up there before Training Camp.

Previously, the team would meet up south of Los Angeles, in San Diego.

This may not seem crucial as of today, but any chance the team can get these players to bond on and off the court is a bonus.

Last year’s group supported each other tremendously as there were no real egos or issues.

Let’s hope the same applies to this year’s team as well.

We are now less than two months away from the start of Training Camp and the preseason to begin, but the hope for the team and the players is to meet up sometime late this month or in September.

This mini-camp should help build overall team chemistry, build relationships with one another and getting to know their teammates personally off the court as well.

Players returning this year include Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Patrick Beverley, Landry Shamet, Ivica Zubac, JaMychal Green, Jerome Robinson and Johnathan Motley.

New acquisitions this year include Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Maurice Harkless, Rodney McGruder, Mfiondu Kabengele and Terance Mann.

Montrezl Harrell has been tearing it up all summer at the Rico Hines UCLA runs and at the Drew League this summer, expect Trezz to have a breakout year this summer with his new developed jumper and three-point range.
