Question #3 – Rank Clippers strengths in order of strongest to weakest

This was an interesting question because the Clippers biggest weakness was the one the majority of you agreed on.  All the others were fairly close.

  1. Forwards
  2. Defense
  3. Bench
  4. Coach
  5. Guards
  6. 3-point shooting
  7. Shooters*
  8. Center

The first four are fairly obvious. Numbers five, six and seven were all pretty close. In fact, Guards finished in first place for both the 5th and the 7th spot. Which is why I called out Shooters with the asterisk.

*Shooters were listed in 7th place (or second biggest weakness) but that answer came in second to Guards, but since Guards was already 5th, Shooters came in 7th.

The Center spot came in last and it was a solid finish. By that I mean it was almost unanimous. Ivica Zubac, I can send you the results via email if you would like some bulletin board motivation during the off-season!

Answer #3 – Forwards are the Clippers greatest strength

Question #4 – Who will be the 3rd star for the Clippers?

This one is a bit different than the one about the unsung hero. The teams 3rd star will have to be the one to lead the team in scoring when either of the big two, or both, is out. This will be the guy who would be the star and face of the team if the Clippers hadn’t signed Leonard and George. (Off topic, but it didn’t dawn on me until this very moment that both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both have first names as last names. The more you know…)

In seasons past it was thought you needed three stars to legitimately compete for a championship. Leonard provided that theory wrong last season, but a 3rd star is still nice to have. Who will be the Clippers?

The usual suspects. The Clippers have the best bench in the Association. Period! Would you be surprised if Lou Williams wins a fourth 6th man award in 2019-20? Naw, I didn’t think so. Like he has in seasons past Williams will not start, but he will finish games. A line-up of Williams, Leonard, George, Harrell and Beverly to close out games is scary offensively and defensively. Solid pick Clipper Nation!

Answer #4 – The 3rd star for the Clippers will be Lou Williams
