With the way the LA Clippers roster has been constructed, they have a defensive minded group that doesn’t need any tweaking.

As the 2019 NBA Free Agency season began to unravel itself in pronounced ways, the LA Clippers struck big. In the acquisitions of Kawhi Leonard who was paired with Paul George, the team is ready to make a strong move in the Western Conference. Currently, the chemistry with the team seems to be perfect. There is no need to make any more moves. It’s finally time for the Clippers to be complacent in their current roster.

In a few silent early moves for many free agents, the marathon for the Clippers shortened into a short sprint for home plate during this free agency. They devised the most defensively dominant team possible in only a span of a few weeks. Notable defending players like: Maurice Harkless, Patrick Beverley, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Ivica Zubac, JaMychal Green and Montrezl Harrell go without debate to have a go at forming the best defensive minded team in the League today.

In the past ten years, the league has shifted to offensive vigor but the new reign of defensive capable teams could be closing in. This past season the Clippers were the only team that could beat Golden State in a few games without any All-Stars. Their task was to get better and learn from their mistakes and they finally found the key: defense. The league spread itself wide open and now there are wide variety of championship contenders. In the past month of free agency, duos began to unveil and the league shifted.

“Defense wins championships” became a motto again, after the underdog Raptors beat the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. That’s what the Clippers have been all along, the underground (@TeamLou23).

It’s time for an unprecedented number of defensively skilled and proven players to jump into the front of the pack and set a new tone for the league. The Clippers front office was magisterial in doing so, the Clippers have the current best defensive capability.

I’m sure most Clipper fans can agree, this team is beyond solidified as a contender. Emotionally, each player has a place in their heart and I believe there aren’t any more moves to be made. If there are, it’ll set us over the top for sure, granted what this front office has provided already.

Clippers’ fans should be complacent and ready for a strong run at an NBA Championship with this current roster and extremely happy to see them play on the world’s biggest stage, they will be showcased as one of the favorites to win it all, rightly so. It’s Clipper time.
