Western Conference Finals: Battle of LA at It’s Finest
Here we are going to go game-by-game with just the scores to see who wins and advanced to the Finals.
Game 1: Zubac Scores 25 to Lead Clippers to Victory
Game 2: Kawhi, Clippers Outlast Lakers in Overtime
Game 3: George’s 27 Put Clippers Up to Commanding 3-0 Lead Over Lakers
Game 4: LBJ’s 31 Keeps Lakers’ Season Alive
Game 5: Davis’ 32 Makes Series Interesting in LA
Game 6: Cousins Drops 47 to Force Game 7 After 3-0 Hole
Game 7: Clippers Blow 3-0 Lead, Lakers Advance to Face Raptors
This one would sting for a very long time. After three straight victories over the Lakers, the Clippers basically imploded, losing three of four by double-digits and allowing Cousins and Davis to basically manhandle them inside.
The Raptors managed to sweep Philly in the ECF to return to the Finals without Kawhi Leonard, something that would sting in his side for some time after almost having the opportunity to face his old squad in the Finals.
The Lakers would go on to sweep the Raptors to win their first championship since the Kobe Bryant era with LeBron James winning Finals MVP, yet another gut punch to the LA Clippers.
Despite the sour end, the simulation proved well for the Clippers. The team finished at the top of the conference and appeared in their first Western Conference Finals and came one game away from appearing in an easily winnable Finals against Siakam and Co.
The season was great by the simulation with the ending being the only sour note to leave on. Kawhi and PG will likely lead the Clippers somewhere they have never been before as title contenders and a battle against the Lakers could be on the horizon. NBA2K thinks the Clippers will do well, now lets see if the game was right.
