The LA Clippers will enter the 2019-2020 regular season as one of the most talented teams in the league. Where does all that power come from?

What a wild couple of weeks it’s been for the LA Clippers.

Just months after the LA Clippers unexpectedly won 48 games in the Western Conference and pushed a healthy Golden State Warriors team to six games in the playoffs, the Clippers managed to add arguably the best player in the NBA right now in Kawhi Leonard, as well as 2018-2019 MVP Finalist Paul George.

In addition, they managed to retain some of the best players from last year’s squad, like Patrick Beverley, Ivica Zubac and JaMychal Green, and added quality other quality players in Rodney McGruder and Maurice Harkless.

And let’s not forget about Montrezl Harrell, Lou Williams and Landry Shamet, all of whom are signed through the 2019-2020 season. Each of those players made an enormous contribution to the team this past season.

With names like those on the roster, it’s easy to see why the Clippers are already favored to take home the title in 2020. Leonard and George are two of the top players in the league, and together, they form arguably the greatest duo there is in basketball.

And like last season, a lot of the Clippers’ power will still come from the bench. In 2018-2019, the bench scored over 53 points per game — the highest mark in the league — and there’s a legitimate argument to be made that the second and third units got better this summer. That should terrify opponents.

As of now, though, there are still some questions about the hierarchy of the team. Which players are the best five? Who will finish games? Who gets the ball in crunch time?

Time will tell us the answers to those questions, but for now, we’re going to determine who the five best players on this roster are, from five to one.
