Conclusion

The LA Clippers are in a very exciting place right now. They have barely ever been good in their history, and when they were contenders during the Lob City era, they were never contenders for the top free agents.

The Clippers have the chance to build the best team enfranchise history that will put them closer to championship berth.

Even if the Clippers strike out on free agency and fail to lure Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, Jimmy Butler or any other assortment of All-NBA talent, they will still be in a good position. They have one of the best young guard tandems in the league with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Landry Shamet. They have raw prospects that can blossom into stars like Jerome Robinson and Mfiondu Kabengele. Clippers fans will be disappointed if they miss out on a star, but this bright young future that Jerry West, Lawrence Frank and Michael Winger have built is among the most hopeful in the NBA.

If the Clippers do pull of the perfect offseason, and, for example, let’s say they trade Danilo Gallinari, sign Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler and find enough room to sign any of Dedmon, Morris, or any other free agent of similar skill, then they have to be considered championship favorites for 2020.

All LA Clippers fans can do is hope that everything turns out okay. Hope might be poison, but everyone has to die somehow.
