The LA Clippers have a tough task ahead of them as they try to recruit Kawhi Leonard. Here are three things the team could sell him on.

In less than a week, the LA Clippers brass will sit down with Kawhi Leonard and try to sell him on joining the franchise. This will be no easy task.

The Clippers were seen as front runners to land Leonard for most of the season, but his time in Toronto went about as poorly as our front office could have wanted. Leonard was given ample time off for load management to make sure he stayed healthy all season. He was embraced completely by both teammates and fans and in the end, won Finals MVP as he led the Raptors to their first NBA title.

Since then, no one really knows quite what to expect from Kawhi. He certainly is the last person to give any sort of indication on what he plans to do. The only things we know for sure is that he is going to opt out of his current deal and that he will meet with several teams (Even that hasn’t really been confirmed).

So, with that in mind, what do the Clippers try and sell him on?

I’m willing to bet the first thing that popped in your head was, “It’s LA! He’s from Southern California and would love being in home!”

You aren’t wrong. Still, that is something Kawhi is fully aware of. With limited time to sit down and talk, wasting a bulk of it on weather and location that he is already knows about doesn’t quite make sense.

Sure, it’s probably worth noting to him as maybe a final selling point. After all, it is where a bulk of his year would be spent. Any advantage over Toronto that they can present is going to be worth mentioning.

But let’s move past that. These are three things the LA Clippers should try and sell Kawhi Leonard on in order to get him to join the team.
