Danilo Gallinari – Randy Orton
Both of these guys are, in my opinion, the most underappreciated member of their company in the public eye. If you tell somebody, “Hey, this next Pay-Per-View is gonna feature a Randy Orton match,” their response is likely going to be “ugh, Randy Orton is still around?”
But then you watch his matches. You see how smooth he is when he’s locked in. And suddenly you realize that there aren’t that many *bad* matches from The Viper. Sure, he has more than his share of mediocre showings, but it’s the fact that he’s such a talent that makes those mediocre showings seem disappointing. He may not be the best in the company, but you can always count on a solid showing from Randy Orton, and you might just be amazed by an RKO out of nowhere (hi Evan Bourne, how ya doing?)
Similarly, when the Clippers traded Tobias Harris and built their offense around Gallo, many NBA fans thought, “are they really going to feature Danilo Gallinari? Isn’t he a few years out from being that sort of player?” But then they watch a game.
Suddenly they remember the deft touch Gallo has. Suddenly he’s dazzling you with an array of moves that always seems to get him at least a decent shot. Much like Orton, he’s had his share of games that people would consider a disappointment. But you can almost always count on Gallo to put up 15-20 points and a handful of rebounds. He’s not the type to carry your team to a championship, but he’s a great piece to have if you want pretty consistent contribution.
