Is Kawhi coming? Will the Clippers trade for Anthony Davis? Which Clipper is most likely to RKO a referee? Some questions are more important than others.

With Money in the Bank, one of the WWE’s consistently most anticipated Pay-Per-Views, in the books, I thought it would be fun to compare some of this year’s LA Clippers to the superstars battling it out in the squared circle. I’m not gonna pretend it’s any deeper than that.

Patrick Beverley – AJ Styles

The Phenomenal One, AJ Styles made his WWE debut in 2016. Prior to that, AJ made his name as one of the best wrestlers in the world elsewhere, appearing in Total Nonstop Action (TNA), Ring of Honor (ROH), World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), as well as some independent promotions.

Similarly, Patrick Beverley bounced around the world of basketball before joining the Clippers in 2017. He even had a couple of overseas stints in Ukraine and Greece, much like Styles’ tenure in Japan!

When AJ Styles arrived, one of his more memorable early storylines was his obsession with being able to “beat up John Cena.” This was a newcomer who made it his mission to stand up to the long-standing champion of the WWE and eventually come out victorious.

That sounds a lot like our guy, Pat Beverley, demanding to be the one to guard LeBron James in a must-win game late in the season. And just like the smaller AJ Styles would assert dominance over Cena, the smaller Beverley annoyed and frustrated LeBron en route to a Clippers victory.
