Clipperholics 2019 NBA Mock Draft: Vol. 1
By Ethan Smith
The Pistons surprised many and made the postseason but got wiped out by Milwaukee pretty swiftly.
The Pistons have no cap space and need to fill a need as its forward position and Nassir Little would be a nice fit for Detroit.
Little wasn’t very consistent for the Tar Heels but he still has the upside to become a scorer at the three or guard position and he has the build(215 pounds) to play against almost anyone that isn’t a center on the floor.
The Pistons also need another scorer behind Blake Griffin and Little could develop into that scorer in a few years.
The Magic were another team in the East that surprised many by making the playoffs and much like Detroit, they were pushed out of the postseason pretty quickly.
Hachimura poses a threat to opposing defenses with his unique speed and athleticism as well as his ability to player either the three or four.
Hachimura would be the first Japanese born player to be drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft and the Magic could add a young forward to build around Aaron Gordon, Mo Bamba and Markelle Fultz with Nikola Vucevic‘s free agency impending.
Want to keep D’Angelo Russell around? Add a scorer like Alexander-Walker to put alongside him for the near future and become a great, young backcourt.
His scoring improved over his collegiate career and he could actually become a backup to Caris LeVert before developing into the eventual starter.
This is a safe pick and sticks to the chest for the Brooklyn Nets.
Personally, I would love to see this happen.
Langford attended Indiana and by getting drafted by the Pacers, who are losing much of their rotation to free agency and need a guard after Victor Oladipo‘s gruesome injury, he could take the keys and develop just fine without have to go too far.
Langford can score and the Pacers need it with a franchise that may surprisingly move into a rebuild, and starting with Myles Turner, Sabonis and Langford, you have building blocks.
