The Bench Guys

Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams were amazing in this series, so they’ll be broken out separately. This slide is strictly for the “other guys”.

Jerome Robinson – B+

We’ll start with one of our three rookies. Jerome Robinson appeared in five games, averaging 3.6 points, 1.4 assists, 0.4 steals and 1.2 rebounds. Those numbers don’t tell the whole tale though.

In Game 4, Robinson came in off the bench for 11 minutes of play. He dropped a quick nine points, including a steal that led to a dunk. His play here earned him the trust of the coaching staff and earned him minutes in each of the team’s next couple games.

He wasn’t as good as in Game 4, but still looked solid, especially given his limited time on the court during the regular season. There were moments where he looked lost defensively, but again, that comes from lack of playing time during the season. The future is bright for Robinson.

Wilson Chandler – C

Wilson Chandler did not look his best in the Clippers uniform. That being said, he looked his best during the playoffs. In the 4 games he played, he put up 3.8 points, 0.5 assists, and 1.5 rebounds. He only shot 31.3% from the field. Chandler is at an awkward phase in his career and was unable to stay on the court versus Golden State. He’s too slow to play the three, but not quite big enough to play the four. Still, he contributed where he could and gave it his all. It was a fitting end to likely the end of his Clippers’ career.

Garrett Temple – C+

Garrett Temple‘s biggest contributions won’t show up in the stat book. He was great in spot minutes defensively against Stephen Curry. Offensively, he didn’t do a ton, but served his purpose. In six games, he scored just 2.3 points on just 27.3% shooting, along with 0.3 assists and 1.2 rebounds. Temple may not have played his best, but he was a solid contributor post deadline and the team should consider bringing him back next season given the right price.
