Honorable Mentions

March 11th, 2019 vs the Boston Celtics: “Lou Williams becomes leader in NBA Bench Points”

On this night, the LA Clippers would run away with this game in the second-half but none of it mattered as Lou Williams would score 34 points and pass Dell Curry, for the Number 1 spot in most points scored off the bench in NBA History.

It seemed fitting that he passed Curry in a Clippers uniform as in the last decade the team has had two of the greatest sixth men to ever play the game in, Jamal Crawford and Lou Williams.

Williams is on his way to securing the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year Award in back-to-back seasons with the Clippers. Way to go Lou!

October 28th, 2018 vs the Washington Wizards: “Clippers set a franchise record as 9 players finished in double figures for points”

Game 6 of the season was a memorable one as the LA Clippers posted a franchise-record by having 9 players finish in double figures for points that night.

Those 9 players were:

This game it seemed like the Clippers could not miss as they shot 54% from the field and 55% from beyond the arc.

March 3rd, 2019 vs the New York Knicks: “The Return of Landry Sham”Wet”

Boy oh boy, was this a special matinee for Clipper fans. Rookie guard Landry Shamet came out of the gates, firing on all cylinders as he would connect on 6 3-pointers in the 1st Quarter.

Shamet would tie the franchise’s record for threes made in a quarter with six and would also end up tying the record for a half with seven.

Though this game was also a blowout, Shamet was scorching hot to start the game by scoring 18 points in the 1st Quarter.

It was almost like playing with Shamet in NBA 2K19 and he had the Takeover badge on as he was not missing.

April 10th, 2019 vs the Utah Jazz: “Ralph Lawler’s Final Regular Season Game”

It was only right that Ralph Lawler’s final call would be alongside former Clipper, Bill Walton.

It also seemed right that the Jazz sat out mostly all their starters with the exception of Joe Ingles and that this game went to Overtime.

The most special part about the night was to honor the great Ralph Lawler and his legacy that will shared with future generations of Clipper fans to come.

It was an honor and privilege to witness the half-time ceremony where Ralph, alongside his wife Jo, were gifted a paid trip to New Zealand and Australia, a Ralph Lawler Broadcasting Scholarship at his Alma Mater and lastly a Golden Microphone that will sit court-side at every Clippers home game, according to the President of Business Operations, Gillian Zucker.

What a tremendous night it was as not only was it the last game of the season, but the Clippers came out with a victory in Ralph’s final regular season call.
