Wilson Chandler, SF

Stats since trade: 4.0 PTS, 3.5 REB, 0.5 AST, 40.0 3PT%

Wilson Chandler gets the short end of the stick here because of his health, and not so much his play. The 6-foot-9 forward has played in just two games for the Clippers so far, and it’s hard to get a sense of the contribution he’ll make based on such little time.

Chandler’s first game in an LA uniform was this past Monday night, when the Clippers throttled the Boston Celtics in a game that was decided by the fourth quarter. He played nine minutes in total, all of which came in garbage time, and logged two points, two rebounds and an assist.

Chandler got more of an opportunity against the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night, recording six points and five boards across 19 minutes of action. All of his points came from beyond the arc, and he finished the night making two of his four attempts from deep.

As of now, Chandler looks like a solid three-point option off the bench, assuming he doesn’t play his way into the starting lineup anytime soon — which is still possible, considering he’s a much more sizable option to play the small forward position than Landry Shamet. As he works his way back to being completely healthy, we should get more of an idea as to whether he’ll be bumped up or not.

Chandler should benefit from Luc Mbah a Moute‘s injury as the season nears its end, since it doesn’t seem like he’ll be returning soon. As he gets more familiar with his role, look for Chandler to keep firing from deep and crashing the glass.
