LA Clippers’ G-Leaguers, Angel Delgado and Johnathan Motley, were both named to the Western Conference All G-League Midseason team on Monday, adding to what has been a great season for both youngsters.

The LA Clippers may not have any All-Stars, but the G-League announced the Midseason All G-League teams from each conference on Monday, with the Western Conference featuring two-way center Angel Delgado and two-way forward Johnathan Motley from the Agua Caliente Clippers.

Motley has played in 18 games for the AC Clippers this season and has been impressive night-in and night-out. Motley is averaging 25.6 PPG and 10.9 RPG, ranking him third and sixth respectively. He shoots about 56% from the field and 73% at the free throw line while posting an efficiency rating of 27.9.

The undrafted rookie out of Baylor has also seen NBA action this season, averaging 5.1 PPG and 2.5 RPG in about 12 MPG. His best performance came against the Indiana Pacers when he saw 27 minutes of action and dropped 10 points along with 7 rebounds. Motley will likely see even more NBA action following the aftermath of the trade deadline, which saw the Clippers trade away solid talent in hopes to progress younger players.

As for Delgado, he had had a monster season at the five for the AC Clippers, averaging 17.4 PPG and 14.6 RPG while playing just about 34 minutes. Delgado holds the lead in the G-League for most rebounds and is shooting a solid 58% from the field.

Delgado has seen less NBA action than Motley as he has appeared in 30 games for the AC Clippers and only appeared in one NBA game, also against the Pacers. Delgado saw 14 minutes of action in Indiana, tallying three points and 4 boards.

When both players are on the court for the AC Clippers, they make up one of the best frontcourt pairings in the G-League, which has helped keep the squad in the playoff hunt for the final wildcard spot.

Motley and Delgado will be joined by Deonte Burton(OKC Blue), Bruno Caboclo(Rio Grande Valley Vipers), Scotty Hopson(OKC Blue), Darius Johnson-Odom(Iowa Wolves), Damion Lee(Santa Cruz Warriors), Daryl Macon(Texas Legends), Yante Maten(Sioux Falls Skyforce), Kendrick Nunn(Santa Cruz Warriors), Willie Reed(Salt Lake City Stars) and Duncan Robinson(Sioux Falls Skyforce) to make up the Western Conference team.

The Eastern Conference team is comprised of Chris Boucher(Raptors 905), PJ Dozier(Maine Red Claws), RJ Hunter(Maine Red Claws), John Jenkins(Westchester Knicks), Terrence Jones(Erie Bayhawks), Walter Lemon Jr.(Windy City Bulls), Jordan Loyd(Raptors 905), Jordan McRae(Capital City Go-Go), Theo Pinson(Long Island Nets), Edmond Sumner(Fort Wayne Mad Ants), Alan Williams(Long Island Nets) and Christian Wood(Wisconsin Herd).

Seeing Delgado and Motley earn this achievement adds intrigue to what the rest of the season for the Clippers has to offer, with young players like Landry Shamet, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jerome Robinson and Ivica Zubac continuing their development.

The two, young forwards are still on two-way contracts, so seeing them on the NBA level and in the G-League should be fun to watch for the rest of the season.
