As the LA Clippers enter their final game of their annual “Grammy” road trip, this year’s theme has been breaking records. The LA Clippers overcame a 28-point deficit in Boston, marking it their 3rd 20-plus point comeback in the last week.

After acquiring 5 new players in trades this past week, the LA Clippers found themselves in a deep hole against the Boston Celtics on Saturday night.

New players including Landry Shamet, Ivica Zubac, Garrett Temple and JaMychal Green each helped spark the Clippers 28-point comeback with key plays.

The Clippers hope to continue to get familiar with their new acquisitions and have them finding a rhythm as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night. This will be an especially interesting test for Zubac, as he faces off against a premiere young center in Karl-Anthony Towns.

This is the team’s final road game before the All-Star break before they take on the Phoenix Suns at home on Wednesday.

The Wolves have dropped their last four games under interim Head Coach Ryan Saunders but this very well may be a trap game for the Clippers, as they look to end their road trip.

The Wolves also have one of the league’s best big-man in 2019 All-Star, Towns, but have struggled at their other positions. One bright spot has been the re-emergence of Derrick Rose, who has garnered some Sixth Man of the Year and Most Improved Player attention. (Although, we know the former will belong to Lou Williams).

The last game of a road trip is always the most difficult for any team.

As the Clippers Front Office has their eyes all set on the expected Free Agent Frenzy that will ensue in July, the players hope to make the playoffs and prove any doubters wrong.

The Clippers hope to end their road trip on a high note in Minnesota and beat a struggling Wolves team. Ending the Grammy trip with a record of 4-2 would be huge for a team that is entrapped in a battle for the 8th seed in the Western Conference standings.
