According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the LA Clippers have traded guard Avery Bradley to the Memphis Grizzlies for JaMychal Green and Garrett Temple.

The LA Clippers have reportedly traded Avery Bradley to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for JaMychal Green and Garrett Temple, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Bradley, 28, had started in every game he’d played in this season for the Clippers, posting averages of 8.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists on 33.7 percent shooting from deep. Known primarily around the league for his defense, that side of him was rarely seen during his time in LA.

Green, 28, has played in 41 games for the Grizzlies this season. A strong, physical power forward, Green averaged 9.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game this season with Memphis. He’s also been adding a three-point shot to his game lately, and he converted 39.6 percent of his 2.3 attempts per game this year.

Temple, a 6’6″ swingman, was having a solid season in Memphis as well. In 49 starts this season, he posted averages of 9.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 31 minutes per game. Like Green, Temple also has something of a three-point shot, connecting on 35.2 percent of his 4.3 attempts per game.

The trade allows the Clippers to get creative with their lineups for the rest of the season, as Bradley’s departure will open the door for guys like Jerome Robinson, Tyrone Wallace and Sindarius Thornwell to see more action.

The Clippers will also be waiving Marcin Gortat as part of the process, in order to make room for the new additions.

Both Green and Temple are on expiring deals as well, which allows the Clippers to continue creating cap flexibility for the summer.

The duo could join the Clippers on Saturday, when they play the Boston Celtics. The players acquired from the Tobias Harris trade should be available at the time as well.
