According to a report from Chris Haynes, the LA Clippers are waiving guard aMilos Teodosic after 1.5 years with the team.

The LA Clippers are planning to waive point guard Milos Teodosic as per Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

This move by the Clippers allows them to accept both Michael Beasley and Ivica Zubac from the trade with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Teodosic played a total of 60 games in the NBA with the Clippers after a successful career in Europe, most prominently playing for CSKA Moscow. The Serbian sensation is a former Euro League MVP having won the accolade in 2010 and six team All Euro League selection.

Teodosic averaged 8 points,4 assists and 2.4 rebounds through his two year stint. Teodosic managed to provide some exciting highlights for Clipper fans through his flashy passing and sharpshooting during his stint in the NBA. Clippers players and coaching staff had always been very appreciative of Teodosic’s basketball IQ and professionalism.

Teodosic may have lasted longer in the league had he come earlier, but it seems the way the Clippers pivoted on their plans after moving Blake Griffin is also to blame on his falling out of the rotation.

This move was very much expected, especially after Teodosic had voiced concern earlier in the season with his role. It seems extremely likely that his time in the NBA is over and the Serbian will return home to play in the Euro Leauge.

With the release of Teodosic, the Clippers point guard duties for the season fall between Patrick Beverley and rookie sensation Shai-Gilgeous Alexander. The rookie has impressed many and looks to be part of the team’s overarching plan going forward.

This is just another in a long list of moves that the Clips pulled off in the time prior to the trade deadline. The biggest move was sending Tobias Harris to Philadelphia in exchange for players and picks, but the team also moved Avery Bradley today as well as waived Marcin Gortat.

There will be much more analysis regarding this move along with all the others the LA Clippers made today, so make sure to keep checking back here at Clipperholics.
