Late Tuesday night the LA Clippers made a trade that shook the league. Sending the Tobi and Bobi show to Philadelphia. The Clippers’ returns pave the way for bigger moves.

Just after 11pm PST on Tuesday night Clipper Nation was hit with a huge Woj bomb. The Clippers reached a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers that sent LA’s budding star out East with a return of a promising young talent, and a highly coveted draft pick.

At first glance Clippers fans might be saddened by moving out the talents of Tobias Harris and the crowd-pleasing fan favorite Boban Marjanovic. The trade is clearly a play to make room for a superstar in the future but the implications are minimal in the immediate and put the team in position for present and future success.

The returns for the Clippers on the deal include Landry Shamet, Wilson Chandler, Mike Muscala, two first round picks, and two second round picks. The breakdown of the draft picks are as follows; Sixers 2020 first-round (protected), Miami 2021 first-round (unprotected), and Sixers 2021 and 2023 second-round picks.

There will be more in depth analysis on the site in the coming days, but for now, let’s look briefly at the players gained, what this trade mans for the LA Clippers and the possible scenarios that can play out now that the trade has been completed.
