Trade #5

Danilo Gallinari is having a career year in just about every statistical category. However, he does have a $22 million salary headed into next season.

The Clippers pursuit and chances of acquiring Small Forwards Kawhi Leonard and Kevin Durant, increase dramatically if Gallo is indeed dealt this year or in a sign-and-trade with either Toronto or Golden State.

Acquiring Nikola Vucevic from the Magic may play a major role in how far the team can make it in the playoffs. Vucevic is putting up terrific numbers for the Orlando Magic, averaging 20 points and 12 rebounds per game.

Getting rid of Gallo and 1st will sting, but having a center who can rebound, spread the floor with his range and give production night in and night out is worth it.

The Clippers will also upgrade their wing position going from Sindarius Thornwell to Terrence Ross, who scored a career-high 51 points against the Clippers a couple years back.

The Magic get a 6’10 forward capable of handling, shooting, driving, and this year playing excellent defense. This would give hit song and Magic center Mo Bamba more minutes to develop.

Vucevic and current Clippers small forward Tobias Harris were teammates with the Orlando Magic for 4 seasons.

Fans on Twitter are calling for Vucevic to the Clippers as he recently replied to one of Tobias’s tweets. Just take a look at the comments.
