Exceeding expectations so far through 41 games, the LA Clippers stand at 24-18 halfway through the NBA’s regular season. Could a trade help them out even more?

With a huge summer ahead of them and the chance to get home court advantage in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, the LA Clippers could look to upgrade at several positions while shedding money for more cap space.

The back-court is loaded with a plethora of guards, while the front-court, mainly the center position, is relatively thin.

By freeing up at least a couple of roster spots, it can give more minutes to the younger guards on the team and the Clippers can sign one or two of their two-ways bigs (Johnathan Motley, Angel Delgado), outright to be on the big-league team for the remainder of the season.

The Clippers have gotten exceptional play from most of their guys, but some of them on this list have yet to break through their recent slump, thus resulting in their name being mentioned in these scenarios that will both benefit them and the team’s current and future outlook.

Most likely, the Clippers will stay put with their current assembled roster, but should they get calls before the trade deadline, they should at least consider making these five trades.
