The LA Clippers continue to support diversity by celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community during Pride Night during the New Years game against the 76ers.

Get excited Clipper Nation! You can join the team on January 1 as they celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community during Pride Night. Pride Night will occur during the LA Clippers game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Fans who purchase their tickets using the code “LGBT” will receive an exclusive Clippers Pride T-shirt. The first lucky 100 fans who purchase their tickets will also receive access to a pre-game panel discussion featuring the following:

  • Curt Miller, Connecticut Suns
  • Angela Madsen, Paralympian
  • Fred Rosser, Activist and former WWE
  • Dr. Julie Saw, Gonzaga University
  • Jason Jaramillo, Lambda Basketball

According to a press release from the team, there will also have themed in-game entertainment including Brandon Stansell performing the national anthem and Snow Tha Product providing the halftime entertainment.

On top of that, fans will be able to purchase their own custom Clippers Pride gear at the Team LA store as well as create their own Pride jerseys.

President of Business Operations Gillian Zucker had this to say about the team’s Pride Night:

"“The Clippers are proud to represent every part of L.A. as we continue to amplify the powerful message that diversity and inclusion makes us stronger. Respect for different backgrounds, genders, heritage and cultures has long been a part of the Clippers platform and we’re thrilled to celebrate and embrace the LGBTQIA+ community with Pride night.”"

This is just another step in the right direction for the Clippers in celebrating diversity. The team has already had several heritage nights and has several more planned for the future as well as celebrating First Responders, Black History Month and Women’s History Month.

With the NBA expanding around the globe, it’s great to see a franchise like the Clippers trying to include any and everyone.
