After defeating the Milwaukee Bucks in an overtime thriller, the LA Clippers look to take down Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors.

Just two nights after taking down the Milwaukee Bucks in what was easily this season’s game of the year so far, the LA Clippers will gear up and host the Golden State Warriors tonight at STAPLES Center. The Warriors will be without Stephen Curry, though Draymond Green will be returning from a two-game absence.

The Warriors, the Western Conference’s current No. 1 seed, have won nine of its last 10 and 11 of its first 13 games this season. Curry has been a major factor in Golden State’s early success, averaging nearly 30 points per game and converting 49.2 percent of his three-point attempts. Without him, the Clippers may have an easier path to victory tonight.

Los Angeles will still need to work around Green and Kevin Durant, though, who have both been superb thus far. Green is good for a triple-double on any given night, and Durant has been as efficient as ever.

Fortunately for the Clippers, they may not need another 50-piece from Lou Williams to claim victory tonight.

Los Angeles boasts the top-scoring bench in the NBA, and with a starting core featuring Tobias Harris, Danilo Gallinari, and rookie phenom Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, there’s no telling what this sixth-ranked offense might be able to achieve against Golden State’s below-average defense.

On Saturday, it was a balanced attack that lifted the Clippers to victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Three players scored in double-figures, and six posted double-digits. Montrezl Harrell led the bench effort with 26 points and nine rebounds in 32 minutes of action. Lou Williams had a double-double off the bench as well, recording 12 points and 10 assists. He also knocked down the game-winner, something he’s had experience doing in Los Angeles.

The Clippers may need to play a similar game tonight, which could be a lot to ask for against the defending champions. However, this team hasn’t been one to back down from such a challenge.

Many NBA experts thought Los Angeles would falter in the early portion of the season, as 12 of the team’s first 14 games would come against playoff teams from last season. However, the Clippers currently have a 7-5 record, which includes several impressive wins over top teams.
