The LA Clippers put in an all-around effort in a thrilling victory over the surging Milwaukee Bucks, defeating them by a final score of 128-126.

The LA Clippers defeated the red-hot Milwaukee Bucks by a final score of 128-126 on Saturday afternoon in an overtime thriller for the ages. Montrezl Harrell had a team-high 26 points, though it was Lou Williams who scored the most important bucket of the day.

As the seconds ticked away, Williams drove to the hoop and sunk a perfect shot, soaring just over the heads of Eric Bledsoe and Brook Lopez. The shot gave the Clippers a two-point lead, one that they would not lose as the final tenths came off the clock.

Here’s one more look at it, for good measure:

Williams finished the contest with 12 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds in 32 minutes of action. He wasn’t the only Clipper guard that had an impressive performance though, especially in crunch time.

Rookie Shai Gilgeous-Alexander stuffed the stat sheet yet again, going for 16 points, six rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and a steal in nearly 40 minutes. Late in the fourth quarter, and again in overtime, the 20-year-old splashed home a triple that gave the Clippers the lead. Both came off of assists from Danilo Gallinari, who finished with 13 points and eight rebounds.

More and more, Gilgeous-Alexander has been a facet of this Clippers team. Perhaps the best signal about the team’s level of trust in him is the minutes he’s playing — not only is he receiving more as the season progresses, but he’s playing important minutes as well, like the ones in which he scored those two triples.

Patrick Beverley‘s offense was as important as ever today, too. The 30-year-old guard scored a season-high 21 points against Milwaukee, including five three-pointers. Prior to today’s matchup, he had only connected on 10 all season. Beverley chipped in five huge rebounds and three assists as well.

Tobias Harris recorded 20 points and 11 rebounds in the win, his sixth double-double of the young season and eighth game scoring 20 or more points. Harris is yet to score less than 15 points in a game this season.

Scoring was balanced on Milwaukee’s end as well, despite Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s game-high 27 points and 18 rebounds. Each one of the Bucks’ starters scored at least 14 points, with three of them scoring 20 or more.

As a result of the game, the LA Clippers will move to 7-5 and the Bucks to 9-3. Milwaukee held its position near the top of the Eastern Conference standings, while the Clippers remained tied with the Sacramento Kings for seventh in the Western Conference.
