Recent Stories. Patrick Beverley. 21. player. 77. Pick Analysis. PG. LA Clippers

Even though he’s only first because of his last name, it doesn’t seem like it’s a coincidence that Patrick Beverley is the first player mentioned here. Truly the heart and soul of the LA Clippers, Beverley appears ready for a magnificent comeback season.

Mr. 94 Feet appeared in just 11 games for the Clippers last season before he suffered a season-ending knee injury. In those games, Beverley was averaging career-high marks in points (12.2), three-point percentage (40.0), and three-pointers made (2.2).

Despite undergoing season-ending surgery less than a year ago, Beverley is back and ready to take over the league. He was as dominant as ever in the preseason, especially on defense, which is his calling card.

Beverley has a reputation around the league as one of the NBA’s most stout perimeter defenders, and has earned All-Defensive honors twice. It isn’t just his athleticism that makes him so, but his aggressive attitude as well.

He’s best as a three-and-D point, though his playmaking abilities have spiked in recent years. Assuming he starts this season, he’ll need to be the primary facilitator. If he can do so, this might be Beverley’s best season to date — in a contract year, mind you.
