Mike Scott was brought in to buff out depth at the forward position, and he accomplished exactly that during LA’s preseason campaign.

Scott doesn’t project to be anything more than a discount Gallinari with way more tattoos, even though he’s probably more athletic than The Rooster.

But really, that isn’t a bad thing. Scott at least has his health, and a consistent stroke from three-point range that could come in handy for the LA Clippers as the season progresses.

Scott isn’t a ball-dominant wing, so it’s not uncommon for him to jack up every look he gets. In fact, all 73 of his makes from deep last season were assisted on. Chances are he’s created enough space for himself to get one off with ease though, and he’s especially lethal from the corner.

The very definition of a solid role player, Scott is a great addition to this team that should see some time with the second and third units. If nothing else, he’s certainly an upgrade over Wesley Johnson.
